About Aurora Alerts

Our mission to make aurora forecasting accessible and accurate for everyone.

Our Mission

Our goal is to provide simple, reliable notifications when NOAA aurora conditions may be worth checking for your saved place. We use data directly from NOAA's Space Weather Prediction Center and keep forecast limits visible because clouds, daylight, moonlight, and local horizon still matter.

Why Trust Us?

Most aurora applications rely on a generic global "Kp index". While useful, Kp index doesn't account for your specific geographic location. Aurora checks the NOAA OVATION forecast near your saved coordinates and compares it with your selected sensitivity, reducing guesswork without guaranteeing visibility.
